You wrote the story. Let's turn it into a film.

LeCinema is looking for original stories and screenplays to bring to screen in partnership with Henrie Studio.

If selected, Henrie Studio will develop your story as a series of 10-15 minute chapters, but to start, we only produce the first one or two chapters, then distribute them through our YouTube, social media, LeCinema audience, and other distribution opportunities. If those chapters find traction with audiences, we produce the next one, and keep going from there.

You keep the rights to your story.

We work together under a revenue-share model. Henrie Studio takes on the production and distribution of the film, and if it earns, we share what it earns with you.

How It Works

  1. 01

    You Bring the Story

Submit an original screenplay or story that you own or control the rights to. It can be a short story, screenplay, feature, series concept, novel, or part of a larger universe.

  2. 02

    We Bring It to Screen

If we believe the story is a good fit, Henrie Studio develops it as a series of 10-15 minute chapters, but we only produce the first one or two chapters to start. We handle visual development, AI-assisted production, editing, sound, and final delivery.

  3. 03

    We Find an Audience

We publish and distribute the finished film through LeCinema, YouTube, social media, and other distribution channels. Our goal is to get great stories in front of more people and build an audience around them.

  4. 04

    We Share the Revenue

If the film generates revenue through YouTube, social platforms, sponsorships, licensing, distribution, or other opportunities, the creator receives an agreed share of the revenue actually received from the project. The revenue split is agreed upon before production begins.

  5. 05

    Great Stories Can Continue

The first one or two chapters are a starting point, not the whole story. If they find traction with audiences, we produce the next chapter, and keep going as long as the story keeps earning that traction.

Your Story Remains Yours

You retain ownership of your underlying story and intellectual property, including the original screenplay, characters, world, and other creator-owned elements.

If your project is selected, you grant Henrie Studio the specific rights needed to adapt, produce, distribute, promote, and monetize the film we create together. The exact rights, term, revenue share, continuation rights, and any buyout terms are agreed upon before production begins.

Who We're Looking For

  • Original stories with strong characters, worlds, or emotional stakes
  • Completed screenplays, short stories, novels, or developed concepts, submitted in English
  • Stories with enough material to sustain a series of 15-minute chapters, since we plan for more than just one
  • Creators who own or control the rights to their work
  • Writers who are comfortable with AI-assisted filmmaking
  • Creators open to a revenue-share production partnership

You do not need to be an established filmmaker. You just need a story worth bringing to screen.

FAQ

Do I keep the rights to my story?

Yes. You retain ownership of your underlying story, screenplay, characters, world, and other original intellectual property. If your project is selected, you grant Henrie Studio only the rights agreed upon to adapt, produce, distribute, promote, and monetize the film we create together.

Do you pay writers upfront?

This is a revenue-share production partnership, not a paid writing assignment or screenplay purchase. If the finished film generates revenue, the creator receives the agreed share of that revenue.

Do I have to pay Henrie Studio?

Henrie Studio takes on the production of selected projects and the work of distributing them through our channels and audience, under the same revenue-share model.

How does the revenue share work?

If the finished film generates revenue, the creator receives an agreed percentage of the revenue actually received from the project. Potential sources can include YouTube monetization, social-platform monetization, sponsorships, licensing, distribution deals, and other opportunities related to the film. The specific split is agreed upon before production begins.

Is revenue based on the number of views?

Not directly. Views help us understand how strongly an audience is responding to a story and may influence whether we continue it, but monetization varies by platform and audience. Revenue sharing is based on actual revenue generated by the film rather than a fixed payment per view.

Where will the film be distributed?

Our primary goal is to build an audience through LeCinema, YouTube, and other social and distribution channels. We may also pursue licensing, partnerships, festivals, sponsorships, streaming, or other distribution opportunities when they make sense for the project.

How long will the film be?

We're looking for stories that work as a series of 10 to 15 minute chapters, not a single film. To start, we only produce the first one or two chapters; if they find an audience, we produce more.

What if my screenplay is much longer than 15 minutes?

That is expected. Feature screenplays, series, novels, and larger stories are exactly what we're looking for, since they can be adapted into a series of 10-15 minute chapters. We will work with selected creators to identify the strongest place to begin the first one or two chapters, rather than compressing the entire story into one short film.

Can my story become multiple chapters or a larger production?

Yes, that's the model. We start by producing just the first one or two chapters to see how the story lands with an audience. If those chapters find traction and both sides want to continue, we produce the next one. The story can keep expanding into additional chapters, a longer adaptation, or another screen format as long as that traction holds.

What happens if the film takes off?

If a project performs strongly, Henrie Studio will have the first opportunity to produce future chapters, sequels, expanded versions, or other screen adaptations of the story. The creator continues to own the underlying story and IP. If the creator later wants to move the project to another production partner, the agreement may allow the creator or a new partner to buy out or release Henrie Studio's production rights under terms agreed upon before production begins. This is designed so both the creator and Henrie Studio participate in the upside if we build a successful film and audience together.

Will you change my story?

Some adaptation may be necessary to translate a written story into a short-form cinematic format. For selected projects, we discuss the adaptation with the creator before production. Our goal is to preserve the core characters, themes, and creative identity that make the story compelling.

Will AI be used to create the film?

Yes. Henrie Studio uses AI-assisted filmmaking tools as part of its production workflow, alongside writing, directing, visual development, editing, sound design, and other filmmaking processes. Creators submitting stories should be comfortable with their project being produced using these tools.

Do I need experience with AI filmmaking?

No. You bring the story. Henrie Studio handles the filmmaking and production workflow.

Do I need to be a professional screenwriter?

No. We are interested in strong stories from established screenwriters, independent writers, filmmakers, novelists, and emerging creators.

What kinds of stories are you looking for?

We are looking for original stories with strong characters, interesting worlds, emotional stakes, and ideas that can translate well to film. We are open to different genres and styles.

Genre?

Fun, funny, anime, or sci-fi are preferred, but we're open to any genre if it's a good story.

Does my story need to be in English?

Yes. We're currently only accepting submissions written in English.

Can I submit a story that has already been published?

Potentially, as long as you still own or control the rights necessary for us to adapt and distribute it. You should disclose any existing publishing, licensing, option, distribution, or other rights agreements when submitting.

Can I submit a story with multiple writers?

Yes, provided everyone who owns rights to the story agrees to the submission and any eventual production agreement.

What happens after I submit?

We review submissions based on the story, characters, originality, cinematic potential, and fit with our production and distribution model. If we are interested, we will contact you to discuss the adaptation approach, production rights, revenue share, continuation terms, and next steps. Submission does not guarantee selection or production.

Will every selected story be produced?

No. We may initially discuss or develop a project before deciding whether to move forward. Production begins only after both the creator and Henrie Studio agree on the project terms.
